We know that the roads can be dangerous as everyone is so busy trying to get where they are going on time and often their full attention is not on the road. Then there are the inconsiderate and irresponsible people who drive while intoxicated or influenced who make the roads even more dangerous.

Unfortunately more than a third of all Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) cases pending in New York at the moment involve repeat offenders. The message sent by existing punishment is obviously not strong enough and it is hoped that the case involving the limousine and two deaths which is getting high profile coverage around the world, will influence tougher penalties for DWI.

It does seem even here in the UK that there are accidents and incidents almost every day. While we can take out insurance on our cars while we are driving, when we hire limousines it is up to the limo hire company to protect us on the roads.

This is why it is so important to make sure that the limo hire company you choose for your next special event has complete insurance not just on the limousine and the driver and not just on the contents but on all of the passengers too.
